Brady & Moss opt out of Pro Bowl.. CLASSLESS!

Well as many of you know, the Giants shocked the world by beating the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII. I found this sooo funny! While watching the local news an hour ago, they broke a story that Tom Brady & Randy Moss of the Patriots will be skipping the Pro Bowl. While telling the story they played “Big Girls Don’t Cry” by Fergie. I don’t ever think I’ve laughed so hard. This just goes to show how CLASSLESS the Patriots are. Notice how Bill Bellichek walked off the field before the last play, and left his team. What an ass. Just goes to show what a bunch of sore losers the Patriots are!

Gotta get a new hockey stick… Again

Posted in Sports with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on February 4, 2008 by terryambercruise

I play street hockey… AKA the best sport ever. I’ve never had luck with hockey sticks. I dunno why. I bought a Nike Quest V6 Ilya Kovalchuk Model (Wood) like 3 years ago and I swear if I try to break it the thing won’t break. Well last January I decided to buy a new stick this time a NikeBauer One40 Lindros (Wood). It snowed like 2 weeks later then freezing rain so I basically had a rink in my backyard. Well I got the stick caught under a fence and the thing broke. So I went back to the Kovalchuk model and have been using that for about 10 months now. I went out to buy a new net 4 weeks ago and picked up an Easton Synergy Joe Sakic model (Wood) for $30. Well Friday that broke after taking a slapshot. There were so many cracks on the thing it isn’t even funny. So once again I’m without a usable stick. I think this time, rather than going to Sports Authority and buying a cheap wood stick… I’m going to hockeygiant.com and buying a Composite stick and see how long that would last me. I’m going to have to drop like $50 on a stick, but it is what it is right?

Super Bowl Weekend!!!!!

Posted in Weekend Posts on February 4, 2008 by terryambercruise

This weekend was quite eventful! Friday I got up at 12:30. I had a friend come over and play Halo 3 and played some street hockey… And my new stick broke. I’ve had the damn thing for 4 weeks and it’s already broken. (I’ll save this for another post!) So pretty good day overall, ‘cept for my stick breaking. Saturday I woke up at 11:00… I made some trades (I collect baseball & hockey cards) and was on the computer for like 2 hours. Then made my Tortilla Chipe (Tortilla cut into 8 pieces topped with butter, parmeasean cheese, poppy seeds, seasame seeds, garlic, hot peppers, and some other stuff) That took a couple hours. Then played some XBOX 360 (2 game of NHL08.. Won both games 4-0) played some actual hockey then went inside. Didn’t do much after that. Today was the big day. The SUPERBOWL! Giants won 17-14 and took down the Patriots! It’s about time, because I absolutely HATE the Patriots. Lots of eating today. Pizza, Sushi, Chips, you name it we had it! Not a bad weekend all in all!

Last day of January 08

Posted in Daily with tags , , , , , , , , , , , on February 1, 2008 by terryambercruise

Well the last day of January was so/so. Nothing big happened just a normal freakin day. Went outside to play some street hockey after my brother got home from school and ended up taking a hockey ball to the cheekbone. That didn’t exactly feel the greatest. Watched Alex Ovechkin & the Capitals trump the Canadians 5-4 in overtime. Mike Green had a couple assists, Alex Ovechkin had 4 goals! So other than that nothing was really up today. Tomorrow should be interesting… So check back tomorrow to see what I’m up to.

I met my favorite hockey player today!!! :)

Posted in Daily, Sports on January 31, 2008 by terryambercruise

Today was a great day. I went to the ESPNZone in Washington D.C. to attend a Q&A session/autograph session with Washington Capitals Defenseman Mike Green. Mike answered alot of questions from the fans in attendance. I asked Mike “What do you do during the offseason?” and his response was that he watches the rest of the playoffs and lays back at his home in Calgary. Mike also plays guitar hero. After the Q&A Mike Signed autographs for those there and signed (4) Hockey Cards, (1) 4×6 Postcard, and (1) Major League Baseball. After Mike signed the cards for me I asked him if there was any chance he could play a game of air hockey with me and he said “I’ll have to see what else I have to do” and about 10 minutes later he signaled me over and we went and played a game of air hockey. He beat me 5-3 but hey not everyone can say they got to play with a professional hockey player. After he played with me he left so I got extremely lucky. I had a great time and got to meet one of my favorite hockey players!
